earthquake
An earthquake of 8.8 degrees on the Richter scale shook the Chilean region. The quake lasted about one minute. Three regions of the country have been declared disaster area and the main airport has been closed. There are at least 76 dead. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric United States has a tsunami warning for the coasts of Chile and Peru, surveillance and warning of a possible tsunami to Ecuador, Colombia, Antarctica, Panama and Costa Rica. Six hours later, has produced several aftershocks. In these areas it is normal because the earthquakes occurring in a zone where tectonic plates collide with it i cause earthquakes of this magnitude.
